About Me
I’m Megan Houle, a learning and talent strategist who helps organizations build the systems, programs and experiences people need to perform at their best.
My career has taken me across mining, workplace safety, higher education and large corporate environments, giving me a unique perspective on learning: it has to work in the real world. A beautifully designed program only matters if people can apply what they’ve learned, leaders can support it, and the organization can sustain it.
I specialize in turning complex business and workforce challenges into practical, scalable solutions. That might mean building a capability framework from the ground up, redesigning onboarding, developing leadership programs, creating scenario-based learning for high-risk environments, improving learning systems and governance, or helping an organization understand what its workforce actually needs next.
My Education
I hold a Master of Educational Technology from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science from Laurentian University, and a certificate in Strategic Planning and Leading Change from Queen’s University.
How I Work
I’m curious by nature and practical by design. I ask a lot of questions. I look for the root of the problem rather than immediately jumping to a course. I use data where it helps, involve the people closest to the work, and design with implementation in mind from the beginning.
Most importantly, I believe learning should make work better—not simply check a box.

As a consultant, I partner with organizations to enhance their training and development initiatives. My services include building enterprise learning strategies, fostering leadership capabilities, and implementing technology-enabled programs. I aim to create scalable systems that drive performance and align with organizational goals.
